CIJS is a (Pre-k Through 8th Grade) Tuition FREE Charter School 

Application Process

1. Step 1:  Make an account and sign up for the lottery.   This can be done by clicking the “Begin Lottery Process” Button. DO NOT MAKE A 2^nd ACCOUNT if you already made one in the past. Instead, contact the school at admissions@CIJSReggioScholars.org and ask them to reset your account.

2. Step 2:  Once you receive the good news that you WON the enrollment lottery, then you will fill out the registration forms.

3. Step 3:  Contingent upon the grade level, you will do the following:

   • • Preschool (Pre-K)

       • Submit ELC certificate

       • Submit immunizations and health records

     • Grades K-8

       • Submit the withdraw paperwork from your previous school

       • Submit immunizations and health records

4. Step 4:  Welcome to CIJS….You are fully enrolled. Congratulations!  We can’t wait to see you!!

Lottery Application Process

The lottery application process is the same for Preschool (VPK) as it is for K-8.   VPK students who are drawn in the lottery and attend CIJS the full school year will get preference for the elementary school the following year.

Registration Process

After you receive the good news that you WON the enrollment lottery, you will be required to complete registration forms.  You can find this in the SAME parent portal account that you made to sign up for the lottery.  Part of your packet will include the need to collect the certificate from the Early Learning Coalition (ELC) and the deposit for tuition (WRAP STUDENTS ONLY). The ELC certificate pays for 3 hours per day ONLY.  Wrap students are children who stay after the 3 allotted hours.  CIJS can tell you how to get the ELC certificate.

Preschool Hours

We will have a morning and an afternoon class for students who choose to attend the 3 VPK hours ONLY that the ELC certificate pays for (contingent upon demand).  There will also be wrap around opportunities for students who need extended day care.

The VPK school day will differ from the elementary school hours, but they typically follow the same calendar with the possibility of a couple of different days.  CIJS request that parents provide preferred class sessions (AM, PM, Wrap) when completing the VPK registration packet.  However, CIJS does not guarantee that you will get your first choice. Preference will be given according to placement in the lottery drawing. You will find out after the lottery what class you are enrolled in. At that time, wrap parents will be given documents to register and pay for extended day services. 

• Tuition FREE Class A- 8:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M. (Requires a certificate from the Early Learning Coalition)

• Tuition FREE Class B- 12:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. (Requires a certificate from the Early Learning Coalition)

• Class C: VPK Wrap- 6:30 A.M.-6:00 P.M.  (Requires a certificate from the Early Learning Coalition. Tuition is also required for this program). Students enrolled in this program MUST be at school during the VPK hours which are from 8:30 A.M.-11:30 A.M.  Any other hours during the 6:30-6:00 timeframe are available, but not required.

VPK Wrap Tuition:

Once you have been informed that you won the lottery for the wrap class, then wrap parents will be given documents to register and pay for extended day services.  Your WRAP (Extended Day) spot WILL NOT be reserved without payment and may be opened up to another student if not paid by the deadline given. 

• One Time Annual Non-Refundable Registration Fee- $75 (Due upon enrollment AFTER the lottery drawing)

• One Time Annual Non-Refundable Equipment Fee- $75 (Due upon enrollment AFTER the lottery drawing)

• Weekly Tuition- $130 except during weeks that the students are not in attendance for an entire full week (See registration packet for details)

Meals

CIJS encourages healthy food choices. Candy, pop and other unhealthy items are not permitted.

• Breakfast– Parent provided (only applicable for wrap students)

• Lunch-Parent provided (only applicable for wrap students)- Parents must put perishable items that need cooled in a lunch box with ice packs. Students will not have access to microwaves to heat up their meals. Lunch may also be purchased at school.

• Snacks– Parent provided (VPK AM or PM ONLY has 1 snack time per day, VPK WRAP has 2 snack times per day. CIJS provides the afternoon snack ONLY)
